Welcome the the Literacy Ambassadors page. Our fantastic group of Literacy ambassadors work hard with our Language and Literacy staff to encourage and develop a love of reading and writing for our learners at Lochside Academy. This page will be updated with some of the brilliant competitions and initiatives that our group work on all year round.
The group ran a competition for World Book Day where pupils were asked to draw a picture of their favourite character from a book. The following slideshow demostrates some of the outstanding entries as well as the overall winner!

To celebrate, us Literacy Ambassadors have made a Google doc full of fantastic activities that you can do for fun from word searches to crosswords to drawing.
There is also a quiz on Thursday at lunchtime all about - you’ve guessed it - world book day! If you join the library Google classroom (the code is 5ievezn) then you’ll see the link and be able to join.
